The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Alhassan has presented Certificate of Commendation to eight (8) personnel of the Ghana Police Service for commitment to duty, exemplary conduct, and display of integrity, leading to the arrest of a Police corporal, and seizure of 159 slabs of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp concealed in a car on the Juapong-Accra road.
The team, comprising Inspector Victor Kwame Duvor of the Ho Regional MTTU, D/Inspr. Joseph Kofi Nakoja - RCID/VR, No. 30866 D/Sgt. Kofi Ganyo - RMTTU/VR, No. 36571 G/Cpl. Benjamin Kwaku Adogla - RMTTU/VR, No. 37970 G/L/Cpl. Prince Tsatsu Sewornu - RMTTU/VR, No. 41126 G/L/Cpl. Baba Nusah Acquah - RMTTU/VR, No. 46179 G/Const. Kwaku Ameyaw - RCID/VR, No. 48854 G/const. Felix Kwame K. Agbemehia - RMTTU/VR all stationed at the Regional Headquarters in Ho, undertook the operation on 30th June 2013 at around 11:30am where the arrest was effected.
Upon tip off, you acted swiftly to intercept the vehicle carrying the suspected Indian hemp but a Police Corporal driving the vehicle gave reason that the suspected Indian hemp is under investigation. The team insisted and refused to be influenced by the story of the colleague Police Corporal leading to the arrest and seizure of the said Indian hemp.
Therefore, the IGP in recognition of their dedication and loyalty to the Ghana Police Service has presented to these eight (8) personnel a Certificate of Commendation, and calling on all personnel of the Service to emulate this exceptional behaviour exhibited by the Police Officers.
