FIFTY POLICE OFFICERS UNDERGO TRAINING AT GHANA POLICE COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE (GPCSC) -WINNEBA

FIFTY Senior Police Officers in the Ghana Police Service have undergone a 5-week Junior Command Course at the GPCSC in Winneba. The course is to adequately prepare the officers in order to work effectively.

CHILD-FRIENDLY POLICING LAUNCHED

UNICEF in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service has launched “Child-friendly policing initiative at the Police Headquarters. The initiative was to bring transformation into the Ghana Police Service to make the service more accessible and beneficial to children in Ghana.

The Inspector - General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Alhassan has opened a Senior Command Course for twenty-three [23] Deputy Commissioners of Police and Assistant Commissioners of Police at the Police Academy, Accra.

POLICE COUNCIL ENDORSES INVESTIGATION

The Inspector - General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Alhassan has said that the Police Council has endorsed all steps taken by the Police Administration to investigate the recruitment fraud case that broke out last week.

The Police Administration has noted with concern news item on a fraudulent recruitment exercise which was carried by a cross-section of the media on Monday 2nd March 2015, at the instance of the Police, and wishes to further clarify the issue.
