The Ghana Police Service and the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) have strengthened ties towards the attainment of their common and respective goals. The two institutions have also resolved to collaborate and harmonize their activities to create a safe Ghanaian society. 

This milestone was reached when the management of the GNFS, led by the Chief Fire Officer, Dr. Albert Brown Gaisie paid a courtesy call on the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. John Kudalor and his management board at the Police Headquarters.

Announcing the purpose of the visit, the Chief Fire Officer said that there was the need for the two sister security services to devise a common strategy on how to work together, especially at this time when the Christmas is dawning, with its attendant crimes and fire threats. Dr. Gaisie added that the visit was also to express the solidarity of the Fire Service with the new IGP, and also to congratulate Mr. John Kudalor on his appointment to that high office.

On his part, the IGP expressed his gratitude to his counterpart from the GNFS for the kind gesture, adding that the visit was timely, considering the upcoming yuletide and the general elections. Mr. Kudalor reminisced the collaboration between the two institutions in the past, and called for the reactivation of all those dormant activities.

In attendance were members of the Police Management Board, including Director-General/Research and Planning, COP/Mrs. Rose Bio Atinga; Director-General/ CID, COP, Mr. Prosper Agblor; Director- General, ICT, COP Mr. David Asante Appeatu; Director-General/Technical, COP, Mr. Frank Adu-Poku; Director-General/Medics, COP Dr. Zakaria; Director-General/PIPS, DCOP Rev. David N. Ampah-Bennin; and Director-General Operations, DCOP/Mr. C.T. Yohuno, whilst the entourage of the CFO included Deputy Chief Fire Officer(DCFO)/Operations, W.J. Mensah; DCFO/Adm. Wynni Azumyann; DCFO, Kwame Kwarteng, and DCFO, Michael Yarquah
