Olive 360 limited, an advertising company, in partnership with the Ghana Police Service has launched the Police Station signage project at the National Police Headquarters.

Speaking at the launch of the project, the Managing Director of the Company, Mr. Elvis G. Nukporpe said that the project is aimed at making the Police stations across the country visible and thereby making it easily accessible to the people of Ghana.

Mr. Nukporpe reiterated that these signages have Police emergency numbers boldly displayed on them and also gives direction to where Police Stations are located.

He concluded by calling on individuals, companies and other organizations to come on board with the help of sponsorship to make the project a viable one across the country.

On his part, the Director-General of Police Operations, COP John Kudalor who unveiled the project at the Police Headquarters on behalf of Police Administration, said it is the aim of the Administration to bring policing closer to the door steps of the people and the unveiling of the Police Station signage across the country is a testimony to that.

“You will agree with me that there are signages and billboards advertising various institutions, products and services all over, but there are hardly any indicating the presence of Police Stations and posts in our communities, thereby making it difficult for strangers to locate the Police in times of need”- he stressed.

Mr. Kudalor added that it is as a result of this that Olive 360 Company Limited in partnership with the Police is undertaking the project to provide sign posts to all Police Stations and billboards at some selected locations across the country with a single identity to give the Police a unique branding in line with the wind of reforms in the Police Service.

COP Kudalor concluded by thanking Olive 360 for its partnership with the Police and also called on other companies, individuals, philanthropists and organizations to emulate such a worthy example.
