The Ghana Police Service wishes to inform the general public that, it has deployed its personnel, both uniform and plain cloth officers, extensively in preparation for the Easter festivities. 

This yearly ritual is aimed at ensuring that a congenial and conducive atmosphere is created before, during and after the Easter. In view of this, members of the public are entreated to co-operate with the security agencies, especially the Police, to ensure an incident free event.

The public is further implored to contribute their quota in this enterprise by being vigilant and volunteering pieces of information about crime and suspicious characters at large public gathering, shopping centres and market places to the Police for the necessary action. Members of the public are also advised to observe some personal security for the period of the Easter and beyond.

Meanwhile, the Police Administration wishes to assure the public that, with the support of other security services such as the Military, Fire Service and Immigration, every effort is being made to maintain law and order in the country for the Easter.  In case of emergency the Police can be reached on the following emergency lines:
