This unprecedented support from SSNIT is a novelty which will go a long way to help the Police Administration actualize its proactive initiative of bringing policing closer to the door steps of the people of this country.  This shall be captured in the annals of the history of the Ghana Police Service.

Indeed, the support will greatly facilitate the achievement of the goals of the current paradigm shift in policing strategies that the administration is pursuing.  For this reason, the Police Service and the good people of this country will forever be grateful to SSNIT.

The concept of the Community Police Stations is to complement the visibility concept which is currently being implemented across the country.  The initiative seeks to prevent crime, reduce the fear of crime and create a safer environment for the promotion of socio-economic activities.

The Community Police Stations will consist of a charge office and operation room, and they will be situated at strategic locations within the communities to enhance accessibility to the public.

It is worthy to note that the Police Administration, as a proactive measure, recently created new Divisions/ Districts/Stations and Posts across the country and is seeking support from individuals and corporate bodies to complement Government effort to put up structures and provide logistics for these newly established commands.  The gesture of SSNIT therefore could not have come at a better time.

SSNIT, we thank you for being patriotic; we thank you for your partnership; and we will forever cherish this wonderful support whilst we wait for other corporate bodies to emulate the example of SSNIT.
